Drawing inspiration from life

Sleeper on the train to Weymouth

drawing inspiration from life - sleeping passenger on the train to WeymouthI enjoy drawing from life. In fact it is a vital part of my design process and often provides the inspiration for new projects. I’m currently working on drawing people as much as possible to help me develop characters for some new editorial style pieces I’m working on. When I’m out and about I always carry a small sketchbook a tiny water colour palette and two water brushes, one with plain water the other with dilute ink.

Inspiration for drawing and sketching – some useful sites.
